Friends! Our kitchen is looking SO COZY! I just made updates that completely transformed the space without turning our house upside down;)
Lighting…
These new island pendants from Shades of Light just sing in here! The shape and scale is so fabulous. They’re the Kasbah Metal Dome pendants and I’m obsessed. I went from three lights over the island down to two to accommodate the size of these and I have no regrets! They give off a great amount of light and they’re just so cool and different!
I knew I wanted something grand over the table, and in a shape different than the island lights. I went with the 29″ Capiz Honeycomb chandelier from Serena & Lily! Talk about statement lighting!
Rugs..
I never knew just how much adding a runner in front of the kitchen sink would do to transform this space. It’s a very black and white kitchen, so to bring in this Loloi Heirloom runner, with all of it’s rich autumnal colors, I was blown away by the change!
Next up is the 8×10 Loloi Giana rug in charcoal! I love pairing the more traditional, almost floral-like print of the runner with a more simple grid pattern on this large under-the-table rug. They work well together, and this rug is so versatile, I may very well move it to the dining room!
Beams…
These beams were not sponsored, but I did have some money left over on a previously sponsored Home Depot gift card that helped with the purchase! We used these beams in our bathroom renovation, and I knew I had to find another place to use them on the first floor. They warm up the kitchen beautifully! It was a little tricky to figure out spacing since I wanted one to run down the middle of the island between the two pendants. So we kind of started from there and ended up roughly 32 inches between each.
Painted pantry door…
Let’s bring more color into the kitchen! Paint, guys. Just find something to paint! For me, it was an easy choice to paint our pantry door, and Frog Tape® always makes it easy! I simply used some around the door knob to maintain clean lines…
I love the little peek of green! The color is Sherwin Williams Palm Leaf.
