Here is my newly designed office! If only you could see the before! It was essentially used as a toy room, and I just reached a point where I wanted to glam up the space and move the toys to our finished basement. I couldn’t be happier with the turn out. I get a kick out of forming a vision in my head and watching it unfold. I knew I wanted a deep navy on the walls (went with Ralph Lauren’s Club Navy) accented with gold finishes and tiny pops of hot pink. I think the Sputnik chandelier from Lucent Light Shop on Etsy really makes the whole space!
I’ve always wanted to try gold dipping, and I knew I wanted some storage to remain for my two year old’s “go to” toys, so I thought this cabinet from the new store, At Home, was the perfect opportunity to give it a go. The arrow hardware makes the piece, if you ask me. Love it! The chair next to it was actually left behind at the home my brother and his wife just bought. They were going to toss it and I’m so glad I showed up before they did! I think my husband thought I was crazy. I brought it home a year ago, left it in the garage, and kept saying, “I’ll find a spot for it, just wait.” I love things that can pass for ugly and beautiful simultaneously. This old thing just seems to fit right in here next to other brand new things that shine.
