I graduated with an art degree from the University of Toledo, Ohio. The visual arts building, designed by Frank Gehry, is adjacent to the Toledo Museum of Art. I can’t tell you what a privilege it was to have immediate access to one of the top art museums in the country. I loved it so much I was actually married there:) I’d say the highlight of my college career was traveling to Paris with my Art History professors. I always leave big cities feeling inspired.
Before becoming a mom, I taught graphic design for two years, and since my oldest was born 18 years ago, my creative outlet has been my home! It’s the most fullfilling canvas, because it’s a “work of art” you live in; a place for you and your family to rest and play. I’m very naturally drawn to color, and I love mixing pattern, texture, and old & new, to create a truly eclectic, livable space. I love juxtapositions! Rustic and glam, modern and vintage, beautiful and perhaps a little bit tacky. Strange, but true. Every home should tell a story. This is mine…
