Well, hello there! Didn’t mean to be off IG for this long, but sometimes life just happens away from your phone.😆 Went to the Dominican Republic for spring break with my senior. Her prom dress just arrived and somehow I know the last two months of the school year are going to fly by. Just trying to soak it all in. If you’re new here, welcome! Thought I’d re-enter the ‘gram with an overall glimpse at our home. If you like modern mixed with vintage, collected rooms that tell a story, and a good mix of moody earth tones and patterns, you’re in the right place!

I don’t know how I don’t have more footage of putting this together! I have a highlight in my profile, and I had to pull videos from there that had captions and GIFs already on them🤦🏼‍♀️ But here you go! A look back on how I put together this book ceiling! Through the years, some people have gotten upset that I’ve torn up books, but all of these books were thrifted, so I feel like I saved them.😉🤷🏼‍♀️ I also didn’t throw any of the pages away!👏🏼 I’ve used them in various spots throughout the house. One tip, if you’re going to do something like this- my only regret is not painting the ceiling black first! That way, if there’s any tiny separations between the books, you don’t see white peeking through. That’s why I ended up having to layer in some spots. Although I love how that ended up looking! Let me know if you have any questions!
