Happy Tuesday, friends! It’s week two of the New Year New Room Challenge hosted by Stephanie from Casa Watkins Living. If you missed week one, where I shared the plans for our master bedroom, you can find that HERE. And to see the first big change, I posted that yesterday HERE.
Today, I wanted to talk about textiles; something so important in a bedroom, especially! We’ve actually decided to keep our queen size bed. If you remember, I was questioning upgrading to a king because our six year old still comes into bed with us. Bless his heart. Lol. King would be awesome, but not something we needed to put at the top of our priority list right now. So, we aren’t going to be needing new bedding to fit a bigger bed, but I would definitely like to add to the existing bedding. Browsing on Roostery’s site, I found a lovely toile pattern that I think would compliment the new mural nicely!
I was thinking of adding a few of those pillows to the bed. I love a good contrast, so I’ll probably pair it with something abstract/modern as well.
I tweaked my mood board a bit, since I’ve decided not to paint the walls or change the bed. These are the drapes I’d like to add- I’m thinking buy prescription antibiotics online light and airy…
Still haven’t make a decision on the light, but do you spy something new on the mood board? That awesome door is from Home Depot and it’s for the entrance that leads to the master bathroom. It’s amazing how updated the whole room will look just by switching to this stylish one!
I will say, now that the walls are staying the dark charcoal, I’m questioning the rug choice. Oy! Just reads mostly brown now. We shall see.
Stay tuned for next week where more updates will hopefully be ready for you! In the meantime, I’ll be revealing our new kitchen backsplash by the end of this week! So exciting! Also, be sure to check out the rest of the group participating in this challenge, below…

Cheers,
Oh I love the new design board! I think the rug looks lovely with everything else but it can be hard to tell when you don’t the space personally. I do love the way the space is evolving though.
Agreed! Rugs are tricky! Especially when you aren’t seeing it in person! Fingers crossed!
OMG Haneen that door is everything! Love the warm green paint color. Looking forward to seeing it all come together!
Thank you, Stephanie! I want my whole house to be changed to those interior doors! Love!
