New Year, New Kitchen Furniture!

Alright, friends- if you read this post, you know I’m making an effort to turn down the glam and turn up the cozy in our home. The kitchen is no exception! I’m still in the process of choosing new lighting, but wanted to show you a look at some new furnishings I picked out!

For starters, we got a new table and chairs! I’ve been on the hunt for a circular table for years! With a family of six, our old table (while I loved the style of it) didn’t fit us all properly. We are loving a round set-up as it’s really best suited for conversation. It’s so nice to see everyone’s faces in a circle! It’s 60″ wide and the natural finish is so beautiful. I love the warmth it adds to our mostly black and white kitchen. Same goes for the chairs!

The cognac color faux leather chairs are stylish and practical. Much easier to wipe down than our previous velvet ones! The rug is a lovely pop of color and pattern.

At the island, I went for added texture with these gorgeous new stools from Serena & Lily! * These stools were gifted from Serena & Lily. All opinions are my own.

These stools are the perfect transitional pieces. So many options to consider on their site, but I was really drawn to the rattan backs and the added brass detail on the feet. I don’t think I can ever quit a touch of glam! Even though I’m trying to tone it down a bit, I’ll never not have a little of it:)

Thought the grey version would look lovely with the veining in our counters. Find it HERE.

Slowly but surely, this kitchen is feeling a bit more cozy and fresh. Stay tuned for new lighting! I talked a bit about this in Instagram stories recently, but basically I explained that while this lighting is beautiful, visually, there’s a lot of lines. Lots of linear pieces. I’m looking for one solid light. I’ll be able to explain it better once I can show you the difference! 🙂

Before I sign off, I also just wanted to share our new snow blower, in case you’re in the market for one! We’re in Michigan and this Ryobi cordless/electric snow blower was a must!

Find it HERE.

Cheers,

Haneen
