Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all had a lovely holiday season! I’m trying to get back into the swing of blogging (I really need to give you an Italy post with all the deets!), but I’m starting with a quick look at an easy way to freshen up your bedroom for the new year- BEDDING!

I’m all about fresh bedding for the new year. I love a monochromatic look, but the trick to keeping it interesting is layers of different patterns and textures. I paired a floral quilt with a solid duvet, diamond quilted blanket, striped velvet euro shams, and flannel sheets. It’s SO cozy! Here’s a closer look…

Sadly, it’s still so cold in Michigan! I’m not getting any hopes up for warmer weather just yet, so a cozy bed makes the dreary January/February/March months around here more bearable:)

Excited for a new year of projects throughout our home! What would you like to see next?
Cheers,
What color is on the walls? From some of the shots it looks more green, others show more gray/green.
Everyone says this! It’s Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal. Doesn’t lean green at all in person- I think it’s just the lighting in some photographs!
Interesting. It looks like a great “grounding” color that will allow the color you do bring in to pop…looks great with the gold accents and wood tones you’ve brought in.
