Halloween is over, but before rushing into the Christmas season, let’s take a moment to enjoy Thanksgiving! We love Thanksgiving at our house. And since Autumn is my favorite season, I wanted one more excuse to use up our pumpkins before heading into Christmas decorating (which I’m super excited for! Stay tuned!). If you’ve got some leftover pumpkins from Halloween, don’t toss them just yet! I styled a super easy Thanksgiving table scape with mine.
We’ve been loving our outdoor furniture set from Lloyd Flanders, and the rustic live edge table was the perfect backdrop for this table setting. As was our backyard! The fall foliage was at its finest when I put this together! So colorful and full of life!
The table runner and dinnerware is all from Pier One. This isn’t sponsored- I just happened to come across it and loved the colors of the runner, and appreciated that the pumpkin art on the plates wasn’t overly cheesy. Lol!
I started the whole thing by putting two runners down (our table was too long for just one) and then layered from there! All I did was trim branches from the woods in our backyard and place them amongst the pumpkins.
I think creating a cozy table scape is as easy as lots of layering, and always including candles! The vintage brass candlesticks I had were the perfect finishing touch. I saved a time lapse video of me putting this table together in my Instagram highlights. Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? Consider incorporating things found in nature! If you go with something like this, just be sure to do it at the last minute so the leaves are fresh and the colors are vibrant. You can almost tell the difference in time when looking at these photos- some were taken right away, and some were taken later in the day. If you look closely- you can see the leaves dwindling:)
This Thanksgiving, I’m extra grateful for another year of doing what I love. For being able to incorporate creativity into my every day living. For finding beauty in everything. For taking the time to really look up this time of year and appreciate the colors on the trees. For morning drives with coffee and good music. For turning 41 this past weekend and feeling so loved by my husband and kids. And for your friendship and support through it all. Thank you for following along and taking the time to visit the blog!
