One Room Challenge Main Bathroom: Week 4

Demo has begun! This bathroom is chugging along, and I love seeing the process and progress! If you need caught up, you can read all about how my One Room Challenge space started here:

WEEK 1 // WEEK 2 // WEEK 3

Before…

During Demo…

Wowza! The wall to the water closet was removed to create a pocket door. VERY excited about this! I love that pocket doors are space savers, and I’m thinking of ordering a custom sized mirror to fit in the inset:

It’s a simple 32×80 inch primed slab door, and I plan on either painting it black or whatever creamy white I choose for the walls. Either way, so nice to have a full length mirror in the bathroom! I considered putting one on the closet door, but as you recall from last week, I found this amazing salvaged double door for the closet from Ebay (getting stripped).

I’ll decide when it gets here whether to stain or paint. As for hardware, I found brand new Emtek knobs from Ebay store Cabinet Hardware Expo...

And this new Emtek latch for the pocket door leading to water closet from Ebay store hemlocksales15162:

Really excited about these pretty details! Speaking of pretty, the tub from Build With Ferguson arrived!

With black legs!

There was a little oopsie daisy. I’m using a tub filler that comes up from the floor, and the tub that was sent to me has holes in it for a faucet that comes out of the tub (see above). Panic attack averted though, because Build With Ferguson has amazing customer service and shipped out a new one right away that’ll arrive next week! This did make one change in plans. Number one, the tub size I wanted (66 inches) actually doesn’t come without holes, so I’m sizing up to the 72 inch, which we totally have room for.

(Also with black legs)

Also, if you notice, this one is slightly arched, and the original one I ordered is straight across. I actually love this organic detail and think it’ll look beautiful in the space!

Another thing I checked off the list this week is ordering the most amazing outlet covers/light switches from Buster & Punch! On the wall in the image below, we had two sets of switches. One led to nowhere, and we never used the intercom, so we condensed it all and I’m so happy:

I ordered brass outlet covers, and a custom four switch plate with toggles! I just love the look of these! Here’s an example photo. On our four switch one, I ordered three toggles and one dimmer for the light over the tub.

So unique, right? Here’s a few more photos during demo… come back next week to see more progress!
