Hi, all! Popping in to show you a few new finds! First up, remember the branch hanging on my mantel with ornaments strung from it for the holidays? I literally took it down two days ago. Lol. It was the last bit of the holidays remaining, and I was so excited to rip that sucker down and breathe new life to this room. Through the winter, I like to keep it pretty neutral in my family room, mostly for the purpose of holiday decorating. But come spring, I crave some color! So, I went to my favorite go-to, Home Goods, and scored big!

I was so excited to find a colorful abstract piece in this scale. It was the perfect starting point for layering. I hung that in the center, then added the round, brass mirror, along with another art piece from Home Goods- a sketch of a woman. This totally took me back to my college drawing days. Who doesn’t love remembering awkwardly staring at and studying a naked model while you sketch away? Lol

How cute is that little pot from Anthropologie? I love the fabric tied on the handle!

This photo brings me to topic number two: DESIGN BOOKS. Here’s the thing. I’m such a sucker for a beautiful book. I love all forms of art; interior design, fashion, music, etc. And the thing I love about books is that they’re the perfect way to incorporate such topics into your decor. I was so excited to find the book below at Home Goods… it’s a collection of album covers! So cool!

For now, it’s on top of my vintage green suitcases in our office, but I’m sure it’ll play musical chairs.

In my living room, here are some more favorites, next to this AMAZING new chair I scored at Home Goods!

It’s a glorious chair, isn’t it? I know I said I was just going to use the green buy viagra discreetly chairs in this room (see the plan HERE), but this chair was just too beautiful to pass up! The lines of it are gorgeous!

The side table I have next to it competes with it a bit. I may swap it with another table in the house; we’ll see. But for now, I’m loving styling those pretty blue matching candlesticks on it. That’s another reason I love decorating with books- they’re great for layering and adding height!

Side note: that gorgeous vase is a handmade piece from Jill Rosenwald. I originally had it in my laundry room, but the gold works beautifully in this room too. Everything else in these photos I’ve linked below…
What are some of your favorite coffee table books? And here’s an ever-so-random question: If you could give that new chair a name, what would it be? I mentioned on Instagram last night that I thought I should name it, and I’m dying over all of the suggestions! Such great ones! And I love that everyone is as crazy and invested as I am in such silly interior design thoughts/quesitons! You all are rockstars!
