Holiday Mantel

Christmas is fast approaching and my home tours are done, but I never shared a holiday mantel and just recently threw one together I thought I’d share:) If you follow along on my Instagram stories, you know I’ve been coveting this mirror from Anthropologie. It has a hefty price tag, so while I was questioning it, I went to Home Goods and happened to stumble upon a similar gold mirror. It’s a bit more ornate, and the gold is a little too yellow, but I brought it home to try!

It was fun to layer it with some greenery and festive gold ornaments. I also threw in some faux fur ones I had (from Kirklands last year), and added gold branches I found I Target. The stockings are from At Home,  the gold snowflakes are from Target, and the gold geometric ornaments are from Kirklands last year.

So I shot these pix, and then guess what happened? The Anthropologie mirror went on sale for 30% off! It’s still a splurge, but with that sale and free shipping, I couldn’t resist caving. I’ll be sure to share it when it arrives. In the meantime, the Home Goods one is keeping my fireplace company and I love it against the black!

Here’s a few more changes I made just for fun. Played musical chairs with this gorgeous gold bowl. Looks so pretty in our kitchen…

And then I also changed things up in this console, as I often do. Swapped out the gifts I had in the cubbies, and filled it with black books, then topped it with a new thrifted painting ($10!) and some festive touches. First I put a cute truck (from Home Goods)…

Then I pulled some trees from our kitchen tablescape (also from Home Goods)

Which do you like better? I’m drawn more to the trees:)

There you have it, friends! I hope you’re soaking in every bit of December, as it always flies by! Here’s a few photos of a little fun we had over the weekend. Took the younger two ice skating yesterday, and today I took my nine year old to a local Christmas show with her Girl Scouts troop. So cute!

If I don’t write before Christmas, I’m wishing you a very merry one to you and your family! Can’t wait for a fresh start in the new year!

Cheers,

Haneen
