So excited to be a part of this One Room Spring Tour with 25 talented bloggers! Thank you to Kathleen, from Lindsay Hill Interiors for coordinating this and inviting me along! If you’re visiting from Momtique, welcome! Please take a look around and visit my Home Tour in the menu bar. Happy to have you! I’m a stay-at-home mom of four with an art degree, pouring creative energy into my home:) If you’re new here, heads up: I’m not afraid of color and pattern!
So, when I was asked to spruce up one room for this Blog Hop, I knew my newly designed dining room was the way to go! The wallpaper screams “spring,” and I’ve been so excited to create a spring table scape.

For me, usually one specific thing always inspires a project. For this table, it was the floral Anthropologie plates! They compliment the wallpaper so nicely. And I thought an added layer of a solid blue larger plate (from Home Goods) underneath would finish it off well.

I also loved the idea of using greenery as chargers. I found the moss ones from World Market. They actually only had five left, and since I needed six, I bought four, and then found two of the fun faux grass ones from Hobby Lobby in their Easter section. Another cute detail I found from Hobby Lobby are the mini chalkboards I used to personalize each setting.

The centerpiece truly makes me happy. The candlesticks are a combination of vintage/thrift finds, along with some I found from At Home. I knew immediately I wanted to incorporate the Kirkland bottles I used for taper candles in my Christmas table scape. This time, I filled them with individual tulip stems. My favorite!

One last touch of spring I added, were these fun ceramic lemons I found at Target in their Threshold collection; just a small hint of warmer months ahead. I’m not usually a fan of anything faux, but I almost looked at these as little pieces of art in a bowl:)

You can catch a DIY tutorial of how I transformed this $50 thrifted dresser HERE.
And can we talk about my favorite new piece in the room? It’s a small little thing that’s big in my eyes because I LOVE the dose of added color to the top of this dresser… the art from Minted!

My latest obsession is perusing the pages of Minted’s fine art selection on their site. I found my holiday cards through Minted this past Christmas (see them HERE), and I was blown away by their art selection too! As an artist myself, I love that Minted has partnered with independent artists to bring you a fantastic selection of really cool stuff for your walls. And the framing options are awesome!
Side note before wrapping up: I had every intention of buying gold serving-ware to complete the table setting, but this mom of four loses her brain from time to time. Not sure if you knew this, but aside from blogging, I’m a full-time chauffeur between four kids’ activities. Sometimes I don’t get around to doing things that I want to do! Shocking, I know. Can we all put a request in that all stores be open 24 hours? Is that too much to ask? I do my best work at 2am! Or maybe that’s just when no one is bothering me. Ya feel me, Home Goods?

I hope you enjoyed my One Room Spring Tour! Easter has passed, but this would make a lovely table for Mother’s Day!
