Surprise! I decided, albeit a bit last minute, to join the spring One Room Challenge and tackle… our laundry room! I’ve actually been planning this for months (literally started the mood board around Christmas). I was thinking of doing this a little closer to summer, but decided the ORC is a great way to start and stick to a timeline. If you aren’t familiar with the One Room Challenge, it’s an eight week “challenge” of tackling a space with a great online community of others doing the same and encouraging each other along the way. You can see my last One Room Challenge, HERE.
I’ll get into the plans next week, but just wanted to show you the room in its current state:
I designed this laundry room in 2016. Can you believe it’s been 7 years? Time to get this space to match my current style and color palette. But also… still gonna make it FUN! I think the laundry room is a great place to take some risks, especially since ours is upstairs on the second floor. Also, this gorgeous cabinet didn’t have a home when we moved it out of the family room to make room for new furniture, so we brought it up in here. It’s served us well for storage, but clearly not right for this space. It’s huge and too gorgeous to hide! And… will we finally figure out a way to line up the washer and dryer?? Stay tuned!
Come back next week for a full look at what I’ve got planned!
