Powder Bathroom Week 3: Art and Paint

It’s week three of the Primp and Pamper bathroom refresh! First of all, welcome to my new and improved website!! This has been a long time coming! I’ve had technical issues for what feels like forever, and I’m so happy to give it a fresh new look while having it all fixed! Please let me know what you think! Is it easy to navigate? Is there something you can’t find? I’m all ears! Still tweaking a few pages (my home tour has old photos and much of my house doesn’t look the same!) but I’m really happy it’s finally up. I’ll update home tour photos soon!

Ok, so week three! Wallpaper and art arrived! Nothing has been installed just yet, so it’s been a bit uneventful this week, but now that the art is here, I can narrow down the paint! If you recall from last week, the trim was installed…

It’s being painted from the top trim down, in high gloss, and the portraits below will be framed individually within each box of trim. You guys, I’m in love with these. They’re from Artfully Walls and they set such a mood!

Clockwise starting with the man in glasses, here are links to the first, second, third, and fourth.

And the wallpaper from Thibaut arrived! I absolutely love the whimsical, architectural sketching and the whole vibe it will bring to the space. We’re having it hung tomorrow! Can’t wait! It’ll be on the upper portion of the wall (above trim work).

So, now comes the fun part! Trying to narrow down a paint color! I talked a bit about this on Instagram yesterday, but I’m trying to pull a moody/deep teal from the art, and teal is tricky! It’s important to spend time cheap generic tramadol no prescription overnight viagra pills online comparing samples and finding a good balance between fun and sophisticated, to avoid it looking too juvenile. Super excited to partner with BEHR Paint for this. They have some beautiful blues, and these are the ones I brought home next to a few of the art pieces…

I brought home two different vibes. The two on the left (Abysse PPU12-01 and Sequoia Lake PPU12-02) are moody and muted. The two on the right (Antiqua M460-7 and Ocean Abysse MQ6-01) are a bit more saturated and bold. I’m definitely more drawn to the two on the left, so I went ahead and painted some patches in different areas of the bathroom.

They’re similar, but the one on the right is darker, and I think that’s the color I’m most drawn to. It’s rich and looks gorgeous with the brass fixtures. But I’m still thinking! So be sure to check back next week for the big reveal and see which I go with!
