How is it already December? My home is slowly getting spruced up for the holidays, and I’m excited to share our dining room today as part of the It’s A Colorful Life Home Tour hosted by Jennifer from Dimples and Tangles.
My easiest go-to for holiday decorating is throwing ornaments in a bowl, and this easy tip has a BIG impact in this room because of the massive iron bowl we recently received from Arhaus!
It’s huge, and quite a statement as the centerpiece on our dining room table…
I know, it’s not a fully set table. I had every intention of getting this pretty set of silverware before I shot this…
Just picture the table set with those and take what I’m showing you as a start. Lol
I’m loving plaid this days, so along with throwing blankets on the back of the chairs, I layered the table with plaid plates from Hobby Lobby on top of the dinner plates from Arhaus. I’m all about mixing high and low!
The little trees are from the Dollar Spot at Target! I just thought they were super cute and simple on the plates. You could always tie a tag to each with the name of the person who’s sitting there. Nice for a dinner party!
I was excited to dress up our new floor mirror! I just draped a garland over one side, added a few picks to add fullness, and hung some special ornaments from Arhaus, as well. I kinda feel like it’s reading a little “Joan Jet’s hair,” but let’s go with it. Lol. Find the bulbs HERE and the snowflakes HERE.
Lastly, I added ornaments to the marble fluted bowl on the buffet (thrifted the buffet for $50 years ago and recently painted it for the One Room Challenge!)
There you have it! Nothing too over-the-top, but just enough festive touches to make me smile! Here’s a peek at the living room I shared a few weeks ago! If you missed it, you can find a full look HERE.

Lots more to see!
